Hundreds of semi trucks are expected to slow-roll a blockade in Indianapolis Thursday in an effort to bring attention to struggles truckers face as the industry changes.
State police said they expect 400 to 500 trucks during Thursday’s “slow-roll” blockade on I-465 around Indianapolis.
The protest follows the implementation of regulations that limit hours truckers can drive. Truckers say the regulations are putting them at risk and causing them to lose money.
Similar protests have been organized in other cities across the country. Organizers say they’re also planning a national trucker shutdown on April 12 to protest the regulations.
